How Planting Window calculates your result
Turn your entered forecast and crop thresholds into a short, explainable planting window. See exactly which conditions trigger a delay or protection task.
Start with evidence, not a score
Keep current forecast records separate from climate normals. Enter the forecast issue date and the actual date represented by each row. Compare each day with explicit, editable crop thresholds for overnight temperature, heat, wind, rainfall, and measured soil temperature.
Read the assumptions
Explain every delay, refuse to fill missing forecast days, and export static reminders that tell you to recheck conditions. Crop thresholds need local horticultural review. A candidate date is not a guarantee against frost, heat stress, or crop loss.
Use a reproducible workflow
Enter your own measurements or import records using the published CSV schema. Save a local scenario before making a change, compare the result, and export a copy with the assumptions intact. Example inputs are not a verified catalog or a live data feed. The source references explain the underlying terminology; they do not independently verify information you enter.
